Dr. Joydeep Banerjee Chowdhury is the HOD of JBCH in the Orthopaedic Department. He has been associated with this hospital since its inception and has successfully established the Joint Replacement Unit. He performs approximately 400 joint replacement surgeries every year in addition to trauma surgeries.
His areas of special interest include Knee Joint Replacement and Hip Joint Replacement Surgery. He attends nearly 800 OPD patients every month and leads a dedicated team consisting of three trainee registrars, one fellow, and seven other orthopaedic surgeons working within the unit.
